About this policy

Ayah by ayah is a Quran memorization companion developed by Musa Mwanje. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it is stored, and how you can remove it.

Information handled by the app

Ayah by ayah does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, cloud sync, microphone access, or a developer-operated backend.

The app stores learning progress and preferences locally on your device. This includes practice status, confidence ratings, revision dates, your selected daily intention, text-size preference, and current practice position. The developer does not receive this information.

Network services

Quran text is bundled with the app and can be read offline. When a recitation is not bundled, the app requests the audio file from EveryAyah over an encrypted HTTPS connection.

As with a normal internet request, EveryAyah can receive connection information such as your IP address and request metadata needed to deliver the file. EveryAyah's handling and retention of that information is governed by its own practices.

Selecting the developer link opens mmwanje.com in your browser. Your browser and the website then handle that visit under their respective privacy practices.

Sharing, sale, and tracking

The app does not sell your learning data, use it for advertising, share it with data brokers, or combine your activity across other companies' apps or websites for tracking.

Retention and deletion

Learning progress and preferences remain on your device until you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. Either action removes the app's local information. The app has no account or cloud copy for the developer to delete.

To remove all Ayah by ayah learning data, use your device's clear-storage option or uninstall the app.

Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users. A parent or guardian can remove all local app information by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, this policy and the applicable app-store disclosures will be updated before the change is released. The effective date at the top of this page will show when the current version took effect.
